The Ritual Matters
18 September 2026 · The Lab
A reflection from The Lab on repetition, everyday rituals, and why thoughtful design belongs in the moments we return to every day.

Most of the moments that shape a day are not remarkable.
Getting ready. Taking a shower. Making coffee. Leaving the house. Coming home.
We repeat them so often that they become almost invisible. But repetition is precisely what gives them weight.
What we repeat becomes familiar
A ritual does not need to be elaborate to matter. It can be as simple as the few minutes you give yourself before the day begins, or the way you reset at the end of it.
For us at VERO, that is where thoughtful design belongs.
We think about the small decisions that make a product feel right in use: how it moves through the hands, how it feels in the hair, how quickly it becomes intuitive, and whether it performs without asking for attention.
Design should disappear into the moment
The best tools become part of the rhythm around them. You reach for them without having to think about why. They do their job, and the moment stays yours.
That is why we are less interested in making routines more complicated, and more interested in making them better.
A good formula matters. A considered system matters. But ultimately, both have to earn their place in the moments they are made for.
Because the things we repeat every day quietly become part of how life feels.
Everyday, considered.
